2 Chainz Arrested

Rapper 2 Chainz was arrested at LaGuardia airport this afternoon for misdemeanor possession of a weapon. He was accosted by TSA while going through the scanners for possessing brass knuckles. 2 Chainz was headed to North Carolina to do a show when the item was discovered in his carry-on luggage. He was being detained until they found out what they thought was a set brass knuckles turned out to be a four finger ring from the company Dope Couture. Dope Couture owner Matte Fields tweeted that he just spoke with 2 Chainz camp and the homie was released. Guess it was a good thing he wasn't wearing a hoodie too, it could have been tragic!

Kanye Needs A Better Remedy

It seems Theraflu was the cause and cure no more. After Ye' dropped the dope track "Theraflu" a few weeks ago, the company Theraflu didn't take too kindly of the use of their name. What's funny is that as controversial as Kanye can be he never said anything derogatory about "Theraflu". The track was dope and quite humorous for slick lyrical delivery. It was creating controversy for the comments about respecting Wiz and getting Jay to drop Kris Humphries from the Nets. If anything, Theraflu sales might have gone up considerably just for the name being mentioned all over hip hop and the world. Hell it was a big topic of conversation on Kathy Lee and Hoda. Don't get it twisted, my girl watches that (LMBAO). Right now Theraflu looks like the Therafool. Meanwhile, Kanye West is enjoying the extra publicity while thinking of a new title before he releases it.

Bow Wow Better Run, Run!

I ain't encouraging anyone to run from the police but ya boy Bow Wow is in deep water right now. He doesn't know how to pay his bills either. He owes money on back taxes and was hit with a tax lien of $126,086.14. Uncle Sam wants his money. A judge has ordered an arrest warrant for Bow Wow on site. In Addition, a tour company says Bow Wow and his people didn't pay $100,000 bill for a tour bus. It seems things may not be going so well financially for Bowizzle. He is about to drop his new album and first release on Cash Money entitled "Underrated". So far there has been a couple cool singles but I don't know if he's gonna make enough money on this deal. I hope so or he'll be the next one doing time in the box.

80s Back Dope New Indie Video

Yo check out this young cat Domi Young. He has one of the dopest independent songs/videos out. That's just my opinion but check it out for ya self. The song is called 80's Back and they did a great job on representing the 80's hip hop. It was fun, you could dance to it, it was comical and the outfits were definitely 80's. Remember the Gazelle glasses and those 80's multi-color Memorex tapes! Check out his youtube channel and holla at him.

A$AP Rocky Met The Man He Was Named After

A$AP Rocky is a hot new up and comer on the hip hop scene. He is a solo artist but he is part of a crew that is called ASAP (Always Strive and Prosper). His crew consists of not just rappers but managers, stylists, etc. Every person in the crews name starts with ASAP. It's like a family from China where their first name is their family name. They have other members that rap like ASAP Ferg, ASAP Twelvy & ASAP Pillz. While most names are street names, ASAP Rocky's name is short for his real name Rakim. ASAP Rocky's mom's is from Harlem and is a huge Rakim fan. She decided to name her son after "The God". He told the story on Angie Martinez's show and Angie Mar had a little something up her sleeve. Check out video of the show.

Son Of A Legend, Kurtis Blow Jr.

Check out Kurtis Blow Jr.'s new joint Californication. Don't compare him to his father but do you think he has a hot song? Not every rapper son gets his/her fathers talent. Remember Dougie Fresh's kids and Lil Eazy just to name a few. Well check out KBJ and see what you think.

LL Cool J, MC Hammer Put Beef Behind Them For A NYC Summer Concert?

At one time there was some bad blood brewing amongst Uncle L and The Hammer Man. Apparently, they must've put that behind them for a summer concert kick off in Central Park. Maybe they're just looking for the pay off. The concert is free but it is legendary. Many major artist have performed at this event and now LL, Hammer and The Black Eyed Peas will headline. Maybe they recognize the fact that it's a great day for hip hop.
