Big Sean's Charges Dropped

Big Sean was accused of sexual assault by a concert goer in Buffalo, NY. The 17 year old claimed that Sean Anderson (Big Sean) assaulted her at the Artpark Concert back in August. Big Sean and fellow Detroit rapper Willie Antonio Hansbro were arrested on charges of Sexual Abuse. Big Sean was originally booked and released on $500 bail. He later plead guilty to a lesser charge of third-degree sex abuse and forcible touching would be dropped if Big Sean would plead guilty to the charge of misdemeanour unlawful imprisonment, and pay $750. His lawyer persists that Big Sean was not guilty of any sexual misconduct. Usually, you don't agree to something if you're not guilty.

Will and Jada Still Baaallliiin!

Will and Jada Smith are still together and still making big investments. Joshua Harris just took over as new owner of the Philadelphia 76'ers. As a result, Will and Jada along with several other investors are now owners of the Sixers. I guess the rumors are wrong, Will and Jada stand tall as ever as one of entertainments biggest family's and businessmen. Congrats to the Smith Fam for all of their hard work and success.

Yooooouuuuu Idiot Pt. 2

Soulja Boy is back at his idiotic ways. They just keep coming apparently. According to TMZ, Deandre Cortez Way (Soulja Boy) was arrested for possession of weed and guns. He and his bodyguards were in Temple, GA at 3am when their vehicle was pulled over for a traffic violation. during the stop officers found weed in the vehicle, un-licensed guns, and a puppy? We'll assume it was a pit or a rot. Otherwise Soulja, you lost a lot of street cred with a Pomeranian on your lap next to the bag o weed and a glocc. All the occupants of the vehicle were arrested and held at the Carrol County jail. Word is that Soulja's PR team is going nuts scrambling trying to find a new strategy since his straight to DVD Soulja Boy movie was released on the day of his arrest. And he still has a career because?......The only hits he's had was just confiscated in that arrest. Jussayin!

Who's Next To Hold Throne

In an interview with Sway Calloway, Irv Gotti spoke the truth about Def Jam. They need a leader that understands the world of hip hop, the culture, the people and then the music. The music is simply a reflection of the lifestyle and culture. One of the reasons a lot of people get upset with so many wannabe rappers is that they are watering down the very thing that represents them and what they've lived. We've seen it all so many times with everything from Tupac and Biggies murders, to T.I. and DMX's repeated jail stints for drugs and alcohol abuse. Originally, the game was more about creativity and lyricism. We've not heard much of that from mainstream artists but there are some representatives. DJ Khaled was appointed as V.P.of Def Jam and head of Def Jam South. He has been responsible for a lot of Florida artists success. Some of those artists were out prior but Khaled's show, his connections and dedication to the game helped to boost their relevance from the clubs to the streets. Now he's being looked at as the next to sit on the throne as president of Def Jam. He was even interviewed by Russell Rush for Global Grind about the open seat. Uncle Russell stressed team work and not changing the business model that's already in place. Khaled claims he understands and plans to keep things in tact, just help dig deeper in the hood. Ironically, Irv must not feel the same because Khaled's name was never mentioned. Some obviously don't feel the same. Russell's shoes are some big shoes to fill. What do you think?

Hip Hop mogul Irv Gotti sat down with Sway Calloway on MTV's Rap Fix and chopped it up. Irv is still Irv and he's extremely passionate. It was one of the most in depth and entertaining interviews I've seen in a long time. He spoke about everything from the illest group (Jay Z, DMX & Ja Rule) that never happened to his current relationship with everyone of his former artists...and the lack of relationship with one in particular, Lloyd. Method Man's Ill SPK "Eat Me" Video

I've been saying for the longest time that Method Man is one of my personal favorite MC's. This is a dude that is lyrical hovering above 90% of the rap population signed and unsigned. He's intelligent, and a beast with his spit game. Unfortunately, a lot of people can't respect true lyricism apparently. He has made many classics with his group The Wu Tang Clan and as a solo artist. In the midst of it all, he knows how to get his business hustle on and still remain M.E.T.H.O.D. Maaaan! Check out the legendary Grandmaster Caz in the studio working on a new album called "The Vintage Album". Be prepared because a true pioneer is about to get back in the booth and lay it down! Oh and don't forget that he was credited as writing some of the lyrics on the first ever, commercially released hip hop classic "The Rappers Delight". Check yo history fooo!

The Bawse Rick Rozay, suffered not one but two seizures in the same day. It has been reported that Rick Ross was aboard a plane on his way back to Miami when he suffered a seizure. Later that day when he appeared to be fine, Rick Rozay boarded a private jet on his way to a concert in Memphis when he suffered a second seizure and had to land in Birmingham. It appears that Rick has some serious issue going on. During his first seizure that day he lost consciousness and had to be revived. Although he obviously is not in the best of shape but Dr.'s say Rick Ross more than likely suffers from hypoxia an “oxygen deficiency in the blood stream". Our prayers that Rick Ross will get better soon.

It's Time For The Original 7ven Video

One of my most favorite groups of all time and the legendary group The Time is back with a new name, The Original 7ven. This band was so big to me. In fact, I was walking around last night singing "If The Kid Can't Make Ya Come". Look it up, look it up. I'm and O.G. with this. My dudes are back and it's like they never left. The Original 7ven as they are now known consists of The Time's original seven members: Morris Day, Jerome Benton, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Monte Moir, Jesse Johnson and Jelly Bean Johnson. They originally were put together by Prince and Morris Day. They spent many years touring together and creating albums. Prince even served as their producer under one of his many aliases "Jamie Starr". They parted ways when Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis began producing artists like Janet Jackson. When Jam and Lewis flew to a recording session for Janet Jackson's third album "Control" the ran over on time and missed a flight to a show opening for Prince. He fired the group and as a result the band broke up. Meanwhile, none of them have had the success of Jam and Lewis but they all have been successful. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis have produced some amazing records for New Edition, Janet Jackson, Sound of Blackness, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, George Michael, Boyz II Men, Morris has become the music director for Michael Baisden's "Baisden After Dark" TV show. Everyone else has been doing studio work and playing live shows with other artists. The recently decided to get the band back together but not under the thumb of the old record label. Check out their first joint "Trendin".

Who Started Weezy and Hov Beef?

It actually has been several subliminal disses back and forth for a minute. Weezy's latest diss track from "I'm Good" was actually in response to the first Throne track "H.A.M." that was leaked back in January. It took a minute for Weezy to respond but when he did it was a good jab. However, it's been a consistent back and forth between the two. Wayne, like Game, has fired several shots at Hov over the years. Weezy keeps taunting Jay saying that he's old and won't respond. Wayne is still showing his youth and lack of understanding. Once in a while Hov would tap 'em but he wouldn't really say their names to promote them but to just keep them in check. Check out what The ROC- Nation Commander in Chief had to say.

T.I. Keeps It One Fiddy With Diddy

At T.I.'s B.E.T. awards after party things started to get a little out of control when Diddy begins to lash out at the Grey Goose rep while on the mic. In the past, there have been some serious run ins with other Vodka companies. At one point Diddy made the statement that drinking other vodka brands is like drinking pee pee. Grey Goose in particular, showed up at the Bad Boy offices in NY with a brotha carrying a real toilet bowl with bottles of Ciroc. They wanted to deliver the toilet bowl of Ciroc to Diddy's office personally but security wouldn't let them enter the building let alone get to his floor. Well the bad blood still runs deep. While T.I. was hosting a the after party for the B.E.T. Hip Hop awards Diddy got on the mic and started to antagonize the Grey Goose rep on the mic and yell out "what you gonna do? You ain't gonna do sh!t. I'm worth millions!" T.I. had to defuse the situation and really had some words for Diddy too.
