Jay's New Roc-A-Wear Commercial
It was reported that Roc-A-Wear has been struggling. Hov is still on the board and still receives a nice paycheck from the brand. He sold the company but doesn't want to see the company fail so he stayed on the board of directors. As desperate times has called for desperate measures, there has been many new ads in major magazines with artists like Trey Songs as a model. Now they have gone another step to save the brand by bringing back King Hov. Here is the latest ad for the Roc-A-Wear brand featuring the big boss.

Beanie's Back!
Beanie Sigel, former Roc-A-Fella/State Property artist is back on the scene with a new deal. He was once written off as a has been. He even started a feud with King Hov because he felt that Hov abandoned him. In actuality, The Jigga man gave Sig the nod a long time ago and Beans blew his money much like Young Buck. He expected the big homie to hold his hand and fix his money problems. When Jay didn't fall into the recklessness and poor money management issues of Beans, Beanie responded with diss tracks. In the end, Sig's legal issues caught up to him and after doing more time I think he had a chance to reflect. He later came back with a re-newed attitude and spirit apologizing for his disses to the big homie. He recently hit the studio and dropped a few new tracks that caught the attention of EMI exec.Chris Schwartz. Schwartz offered Beans a healthy new deal that would also allow for a new State Prop opportunity. This could be an interesting deal. Beanie says he will release a new mixtape in the next few weeks and the album "Classic" will drop sometime this summer. Big Ups, Beans!

Bey' Is Back To Business
Jay Z is a ride or die for his Boo Bey. Just over a month after Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy she says "I'm ready to get back to what I was born to do". So the Jigga man went to work for his number one client and wife. Beyonce is managed by Roc Nation/Live Nation. Jay is in the process of lining up a tour for Bey worth $150 Million, that sh*t cray! Shouts out to Beyonce for bouncing back so quickly and already going in. What I want to see next is a new DC album and tour including Latoya Luckett just like New Edition is doing. That would be dope!! Beyonce is already confirmed to perform 2 shows in Atlantic City at the Revel beachfront resort on Memorial Day weekend.
N*gga What? Katy Perry Is The Sh*t
Katy Perry never ceases to amaze me. Check out this video of her performing N*ggas In Paris live. THAT SH*T CRAY!!!

Otis's Maybach Saves Lives
The Throne is an appropriate title for Jay and Kanye. Anything they touch makes money simply because they touched it. The Maybach Benz that was featured and chopped in the Otis music video was sold for $60,000. Jay & 'Ye decided to auction the vehicle off to help feed the starving countries of Somalia, Kenya & Ethiopia. The hunger crisis in those country is the worst it's been in 6 decades. The sale of this vehicle was able to provide meals for many deprived individuals. Some say hip hop is destructive, thanks to The Throne for helping to change that image.

Ri Ri Is Going Hard
"Little Miss Sunshine" as Hov called her, is flipping the script and going hard. Rihanna tweeted a pic of her at an LA tattoo parlor getting a new tat. We all have seen that she's become a "tataholic" adding new tattoo's all of the time. She recently, had THUG LIFE tatted on her knuckles. That seems a little much for the R&B/Pop diva. We can't confirm whether it's real or temporary. If it's real, all I can say is Daaaaaaaaaamn RiRi! Yeah, yeah, yeah she's so hard!

Jay Z's 40/40 Club Is Shut Down
Jay Z's 40/40 clubs are one of the dopest upscale sports clubs in NY. Great layouts, memorabilia, plenty of big screens, fly ass furniture and just the overall dope environment. The food is a little spendy but it's totally worth it. However, the management decided to shut down and remodel. In fact, the grand re-opening was pushed back to a month after it was there trying to get in LMAO. After recent reports I'm glad it was. According to the NY Post just 24 hrs after their re-opening the health board shut down the restaurant for several violations. Some of the infractions listed were food wasn't properly refrigerated, hot food wasn't kept heated to the correct temperature and employees were allowed to prepare food without hairnets and gloves. Ron Berkowitz, spokesman for the 40/40, told TMZ that there weren't many violations. The problems were the result of a blown refrigerator motor. He claims the problem has been rectified and the club is back to business. Word on the curb though is that before the club closed they were cited for 39 violations. Sounds like a bigger problem than just a blown refrigerator motor.

J.Cole Goes Platinum
Jay Z keeps on winning. He found a very talented young artist named Jermaine Lamarr Cole better know as J.Cole from Frankfurt, Germany who had some very impressive talents. The guy had an incredible spit game, nice flow, and he makes his own music TOO! He had a few mixtapes out that caught Jay's attention but this new album is really dope. In fact,it's so dope that he just went platinum and sold over 200,000 units the first week. That is very unusual in this climate. In addition, he's being nominated for "Best New Artist". MTV spoke with Jay about his thoughts on his protege and his nomination.

Hova Is The Name
My Jay Z is starting 2012 off with a bang already. He is a new father of Blu Ivy Carter born on January 7th. His New York 40/40 club is going through a major renovation and is going to have a grand re-opening, his Brooklyn Nets have a new home and a new team and amidst all of his great ventures and success he decides to become the spokesman for Duracell and Powermat. But, in true Jay fashion, he couldn't just be the spokesperson he also in part owner as well. Jay is truly been an inspiration to a lot of people. That is truly making power moves, pardon the pun!

Beyonce Gave Birth?
The rumor mill is swirling that Jay and Beyonce have welcomed a baby girl into the world last night (12/29/11). It has been confirmed that B went to a local New York hospital and is in labor. However, sources close to the couple are squashing the rumors. They say there's no baby yet. As soon as Beyonce announced her baby bump on MTV, it set a twitter record of 8868 tweets per second. There is a website that claims to be a very reliable source for the birth of Baby Carter. The website name, www.isbabyoncebornyet.com has some great info for you "NO, NOT YET"! Gotta love that message. I checked to see who owned the web domain and I think it might be her publicist. The name was protected but it was someone out of L.A. so I believe it was her publicist. Stay tuned Baby Carter's debut is just around the corner.

The WTF Video Of The Week

Who Started Weezy and Hov Beef?
It actually has been several subliminal disses back and forth for a minute. Weezy's latest diss track from "I'm Good" was actually in response to the first Throne track "H.A.M." that was leaked back in January. It took a minute for Weezy to respond but when he did it was a good jab. However, it's been a consistent back and forth between the two. Wayne, like Game, has fired several shots at Hov over the years. Weezy keeps taunting Jay saying that he's old and won't respond. Wayne is still showing his youth and lack of understanding. Once in a while Hov would tap 'em but he wouldn't really say their names to promote them but to just keep them in check. Check out what The ROC- Nation Commander in Chief had to say.

Nas Celebrates 38
Beyonce Is Having Her First But Not Jay Z's

After a decade, the truth comes out that Jay Z has a 9yr old son that has been kept secret this whole time. Many were excited about Jay and B's new baby to be, but how does Be feel now that her husband fathered a secret love child 10 yrs ago. The mother is Shenelle Scott, a Trinidad model. It was first believed that the child was fathered by Malik Sayeed. He was with Scott at the time she became pregnant and it was assumed that the child was his. He threw her a baby shower, supported her and was daddy to the little boy. It was Sayeed's friends and family that pushed for the paternity test because they kept seeing her and Jay together. Low and behold it was not Sayeed's seed but Jay's. This is usually the part of the show where Scott would run back stage fake crying, falls on the couch backstage then falls to the floor in a fetal position talking about she don't understand, the test must be wrong. At least Hov stepped to the plate and is paying child support, even bought them a home in Trinidad. I guess Hovi Hov was right he got 99 problems, a new son, time lost, and back child support. Let's just hope Be ain't one.

Uh-Oh It's The Return of The Originator None Greater

Former Jay-Z mentor Jaz-O says he will return to the rap game with a new mixtape. His rep says he is ready to get back in the game with no more breaks this time. Jaz-O has struggled to gain the respect that his former protege' Jay Z has. In fact, there has been a rift among the two since Jay founded Roc-A-Fella Records with Dame Dash and Kareem Biggs. Jaz-O felt slighted for not being included in that deal. There were some diss records released by Jaz-O and eventually Jay took the step to reach out to him and give him a nod by allowing Jaz-O to drop a verse on "Big Pimpin". Jaz-O didn't think that was enough and continued to diss Jay again. Most recently, in 2009 he dissed Jay on Game's joint "Gangsta's Ride". Jaz-O recently inked a digital distribution deal with Fork and Spoon Digital Distribution to re-release his Kingz County album from 2002. He currently has a new single out called "From Da Projects".

Watch The Throne
Since it's release Monday, Watch The Throne has been breaking sales records. It is a collection of very unique and different songs that I don't think anyone anticipated. The first single "H-A-M" was released back in January and the anticipation began to build off that. The H.A.M track was actually leaked long before it's intended release causing 'Ye and Jay to create a mobile recording facility in France. They returned home to finish the album at a New York hotel limiting access and potential for more song leaks. The second single "Otis" was released in July and pre-sales for the album reached platinum status, just off PRE-sales. The digital download of the album was made available August 8th and set sales records in 23 countries. The album will be in stores on August 12th and industry insiders believe the album will sell 400-450,000 copies in the first week. RZA, Q-Tip, Beyonce,The Neptunes and Swizz Beatz all make appearances on the Roc Nation/Def Jam Collaboration. I guess "The Throne" is truly an appropriate title.

Watch The Throne And Prepare
The collaboration album "Watch The Throne" by Jay Z and Kanye West is building up some serious anticipation, and for good reason. These are two of the biggest stars in music culture, fashion, entertainment and business currently. It is amazing as a hip hop fan to watch their rise at two different times but together as well. The intensity of their talent, skill, and work ethic. Kanye's last body of work was truly something on a different level. Now, he and Jay are set to make history and the moment has begun. This past week they released a first song, not necessarily an official single, called "Otis". The song is truly something different and very interesting. I love how they are not taking standard traditional methods on any of this project. Check out a documentary of the making of "Watch The Throne" shot while they were writing and recording in Australia.
Life Imitates Art..Or A True Story Unfolds

Singer Amy Winehouse was found dead Saturday morning in her London flat. The talented songstress had several hit songs and manage to find success in the U.S. as well. Her biggest selling record was a song that really spoke about her personal struggles outside of the music industry, her addiction to drugs. Winehouse battled drug and alcohol abuse for several years in and out of "Rehab". With all of the chaos and pressure of the industry it was unfortunately a matter of time before something of this magnitude was bound to happen. I think she completely needed to step away from the industry and focus on herself getting clean. Another talented but troubled star has fallen. Here is one of her early songs called "In My Bed" which samples Nas' "Made Ya Look" Thanks Amy, rest in peace.

Odd Future Collabo

Odd Future has really jumped onto the scene in a big way. So far, we've really only seen one major record from the so called west coast Wu Tang Clan. There has only been one major record from Tyler The Creator, and another big record from Frank Ocean. However, as a collective there has only been one song released lately. Is the hype really all that? Apparently, it's working because the crew has been everywhere and working with everyone. Tyler the Creator just popped up on a new track with Pusha T produced by Pharell and now pics surface of Frank Ocean in studio with Hov?!?!
