This year marks the 1st year the DMC World DJ Championship will allow DVS(Digital Vinyl Systems: i.e. Serato/Tractor) With the death of the Technics 1200 last year it puts in to question whats the next step for DJ's. Turntables are still required for competition and team battles are still strictly Vinyl. The addition of online competition adds a new twist, with it being no hold barred. competitors are free to use USB controllers with software. The pace of inovation in DJ technology moving at the speed of light in comparison to 10 years prior, resulting in inovation and a blurry line between DJ and Digital Producer.
