It has been a really rough last couple of years for DJ AM and his family. First, AM was heavily caught up in drugs, his mothered died in 2006, he was in a plane crash that nearly took his life, then the drug abuse spiraled even more out control and eventually taking his life. Now, his sister dies at the young age of 40.
