Young Buck Bankrupt

We’ve all heard some of the stories about Young Bucks legal problems. In a recent interview with Whoo Kid he admitted that he would be up for reuniting with G-Unit. This came as a shock somewhat. I say somewhat because whenever any entertainer has legal issues or faces going broke they have the “I found religion experience”. Well Buck didn’t find God but he is seeing the light. He says he’s in negotiations right now with 50 Cent about working together again. Buck was kicked out of G-Unit in 2008 but remained in debt to the label which he refused to record for. He started Cashville Records but was hit with a $10 Million lawsuit by 50 Cent for breach of contract by releasing material on another label. Young Buck was forced to file for bankruptcy 2 years ago when he racked up $300,000 in IRS debt. On May 14th, the IRS will liquidate all of Young Bucks music, trademarks, copyrights, licenses and royalties. So you can a piece of Young Buck’s business. That’s the true meaning of “passing the Buck”.

50's Contract Is Up

After much anticipation and many public feuds, 50 Cent might actually get a chance to release his final album on Interscope. It has been several back and forth battles between Fif and the label. It seems like they've finally come to an agreement. The last album on the Interscope label was supposed to be "Black Magic". At this point no one knows what album he's actually turned in. It could be a completely new one or in could have more tracks added to it. When asked, 50 Cent says he doesn't want to leave the fans with the last project. He

Omarion Goes MMG?

The rumor mill is circulating. Rick Ross has been said to be looking for the next R&B act to add to MMG. Word on the curb is that he has been in talks with Omarion formerly of B2K. As you may recall, O was signed to Cash Money a while back. Then O was overseas trying to clear up that he was NOT a part of Cash money. He did originally sign with them but asked to be released. Since, YMCMB has blown up. Meanwhile, Rick Ross is killing the game and now O wants to be down with the MMG Family. Ross took O on the road to do some live shows and see how he works out. Sources say that Omarion hit the stage with the group to see how the "Vibe" was. Rick Ross says he likes the chemistry of his current roster and he doesn't want to mess that up. No word yet whether the collabo worked out or not but it would be interesting.

Lamar Signs With Aftermath

No not Lamar Odom, Kendrick Lamar. The wild west rhyme slinger who has been endorsed by the Good Dr. has been an independent his whole career. He has been signed to Top Dawg Records where he has released his highly anticipated Section 80. He also has a group with Schoolboy Q Jay Rock and Ab-Soul called Black Hippie. After being endorsed by the legendary Dr. Dre and riding shotgun on several tracks for Detox, Dre decided to return the love by giving the Black Hippie a distribution deal with Aftermath. The deal will be a joint venture between Top Dawg, Aftermath and Interscope. As a part of the deal, Interscope will distribute releases by the other Black Hippie members.

Dr. King Album On The Way

No not the civil rights leader. The good Dr. Dre and T.I. aka King of The South have worked on some new material together. We don't have word yet as to whether this will be on T.I.'s upcoming album or the Detox. Check out a video preview of the two of them working on a new track.

A Bitter Pill

Maybach Music rapper Pill has been dealing with the rumor mill lately saying that he was dropped from the label. He has been on the road promoting and trying to prep the world for his first release. While at a radio station in the east, he was asked about new rumors that surfaced claiming that he'd been dropped from MMG. The artist said that was the first he's ever heard of that. He denied any problems and continued to rep Maybach Music. Now Pill is taking to twitter to vent his frustrations saying "No TV and no radio…[you] do the math. I bet u can name [your] favorite artist and [then] turn on the TV and see the video and hear it on the radio,” wrote the MC. “It’s not rocket science. Radio and TV [before] I had a deal, none after and u ask why Pill ain’t blew all the way up". Meanwhile, Rick Rozay has been silent and refuses to comment on the allegations. I don't know about you but sounds like a storms a brewing.

Young Buck May Have A New Deal

Young Buck has been slightly absent from the charts but not from the music scene all together. He has been doing a lot of work with Drumma Boy releasing mixtapes. He has been struggling financially with the IRS problems and spending problems. He has been in a very publicized beef with 50 Cent about unpaid monies. 50 says Buck isn't owed any money and he needs to manage his money properly. Buck has been trying to survive with his clothing line and Cashville Records but the money still isn't enough. He is currently in negotiation to sign a new deal with Cash Money. However, he is still under contract with G-Unit records. In addition, the IRS woes has also halted him from signing a new contract with Cash Money because of his bankruptcy. If he comes into more money, he'll have to repay the creditors owed. Best of luck Buck.

Dr. Dre Wants Time Away

The good Doc says he has been working 24/7 for 27 years and now he feels it's time to take a break. He is currently focused on two new projects: Kendrick Lamar and Slim Da Mobster. Dre says after those two albums it's time to relax and spend time with his family. He eludes the question of when will the Detox drop but quickly offers that he is impressed with the success of Beats and promises a lot of new products in the near future. The Doc says he'll return as soon as the itch comes back. We hope the good Doc won't stay away too long.

Whoo Kid Debuts New Dr. Dre and Slim The Mobster

Dr. Dre always has been and will always be the business. He has done more in this genre than any other. He has truly been like Quincy Jones with the number of lives he's had in this industry. The World Class Wreckin Crew, NWA, Death Row Era, his solo career, Aftermath, his Beats venture and so much more. He is amazing. For those that say Dre fell off. Check out his new joint with Slim The Mobster.

Beats Store Is Open

The Beats By Dre store is open and off the chain. Despite 50 Cents announcement of his new Sync By 50 line, the BBD line continues to plow through the market. They were first to introduce the new high end line. Since then, many have tried to chase them down including Fif's Sleek now Sync, Luda's Soul line and more. Honestly, Sennheiser makes the headphones for both BBD and Soul and Monster makes the cables/connection. However, BBD doesn't stop there. They are now introducing a wireless option like Fif's Sync line as well as advanced controls on the headphone of the Solo's. They have also introduced more colors and signature series as well. Check out the video of their store opening with their Social Media Manager Karen Cavil.

Interscope Is Under The Scope

It is now being reported that Interscope Records is now being investigated for facilitating drug transports and transactions. At the center of the whole investigation is Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond. This is the same man who is on the run from the FBI for being the ringleader of a major cocaine drug ring. In addition, he has been fingered as the one who ordered the first shooting of Tupac Shakur at Quad Studios in NY. Pac was on his way to do a feature on Biggies album when he was robbed and shot. Things seemed shady causing Tupac to suspect that Biggie and Puff were involved. Realistically, someone else that Pac had a relationship with that went sour was present at the studio that night and knew he was on his way, Jimmy Rosemond. It seems as though everything is closing in on this former record exec on the run. Interscope was been brought into the picture when authorities acted on a tip and arrested Khalil Abdullah, a Rosemond associate, who pleaded guilty to narcotics trafficking and obstruction of justice charges. DEA agents say they confiscated a case containing $800,000 at recording studio arranged by Rosemonds road manager. Interscope releases a statement that they have no involvement or any knowledge of such activities taking place.

Paint The Throne Red!!

The Game's Red Album debuted at the #1 spot on the charts dethroning Kanye and Jay Z. The Throne album has held down the #1 spot for several weeks now generating record numbers. This week their run came to an end in the first place spot on the charts as the Game's long delayed Red Album makes it's debut. It seems, Game was able to knock the Throne off by selling 97,528 copies in one week. Check out the official first video and single "Pot Of Gold" featuring Chris Brown.

Is The Game In Need Of Some Cash Money?

The Game announced recently that he will probably sign with Cash Money when his deal is up with Interscope. He says that he and Birdman have had a long relationship that reaches back before he dropped the "Documentary". When asked why Cash Money, Game said "they winning right now. I'm winning and I wanna be down with a crew that's winning". Game was saying that right now they are trying to find a way to make the Cash Money/Black Wall Steet deal work. However, Game is confident that by the time it's necessary, the deal will get worked out. Maybe that explains why he recently dissed Jay on the song "Uncle Otis". Game is starting to seem real pathetic these days. He's damn near lying on the floor kicking and screaming like a baby for attention. Three minutes ago he took to twitter to publicly humiliate himself by begging to reunite with G-Unit. Every now and then he takes a lame ass shot at "The Throne" and now this. (SMH)

The Bully Writes A Book

The most well known Bully in hip hop currently is set to release a book in January about NOT bullying entitled "Playground". Now ain't that a taste of Irony. The one individual who has initiated more beefs and put people on blast calling them out on records is writing a book about bullying and it's negative affects on kids. 50 Cent is set to write his third book dealing with such a serious subject matter that has always been a social problem but has now escalated to new heights. Fif says he was able to draw from his own experiences but during the process the story took on it's own life. It's told from the perspective of a 13yr old boy. Kind of ironic since he has initiated so many beefs with people like DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Diddy, Jadakiss, Fat Joe and you remember what he did to Ja's career and the Mpire once known as Murder Inc. He announced just recently that the book should hit stores January, 2012.

50 Cent Beefin With Interscope Again!!

Fif took to twitter as usual to air out his label and force their hand on releasing his album. Thursday (June 16th) Fif tweeted that was tired of all the delays and excuses why Interscope wasn't releasing his next album Black Magic. He says he had a meeting with them and it seemed like everything was in place but he feels like they are dragging their feet on the project and announced that he wouldn't be releasing an album at all this year. Fifty's last album was in 2009 and fans pleaded for him to release something new on twitter. After enough ego stroking Fif gave the fans his first single "Outlaw". Not sure that the label knows... should be interesting if they don't.
