There has been rumors swirling that the legendary label started by Mr. Barry Gordy had folded and the company is no longer. If it comes to fruition it would be a very unfortunate tragedy in the world of music. What Barry Gordy and the Motown label and it's roster has done for music is explanatory. Their catalog single handily defines a decade. No matter if they have any current artists or not, there should be no reason that the legendary label should not stand alone. The rumors began when Eryka Badu responded via twitter that Sylvia Rhone was stepping down. Twitter fans went nuts with their R.I.P.'s and farewells. Sylvia Rhone dispelled the rumors and Erykah Badu admits to over reacting to Rhones resignation. Motown still got Mo music to make.
