Heavy News, A Legend Passes

In a shocking announcement from Grandmaster Flash, the legendary Heavy D Passed away today in Los Angeles. Heavy D, Born Dwight Arrington Meyers, brought swag to being a big man. His signature glasses masked his lazy eye but he showed he was still a ladies man. The Overweight Lover Heavy Wadiddly D hit the scene back in 1987 with his group Heavy D and the Boyz. They were the first group signed to Andre Harrells Uptown Records. The first album was "Livin Large" which spawned the single "Mr. Big Stuff". Heavy was born in Jamaica but raised in Money Earnin Mt Vernon. In recent years he focused more on his acting career than music. He is in the upcoming Eddie Murphy comedy "Tower Heist", upcoming episode of House Of Pain and Law & Order SVU. He was the only rapper to appear on both Michael Jackson's single "Jam" and Janet Jackson's single "Alright". He died today in L.A. of respiratory complications.
